Bible Q&A: Two Questions About Jesus, His Apostles, and Baptism

Did Jesus Christ baptize anyone with his own hands?  Also, who baptized the twelve disciples of Jesus Christ?

The Bible specifically says that Jesus did not baptize anyone (John 4:2).  As for who baptized the twelve disciples, or apostles (Matt. 10:1-4), we know that Andrew initially had been a disciple of John the Baptist (John 1:35-40).  It is a reasonable conclusion that Andrew had been initially baptized by John, being his disciple.  It would therefore also be reasonable to conclude that many, if not all, of Jesus’ disciples had been baptized by John earlier, or by disciples of John.  For more thoughts on the baptism of the apostles, see my answer to a similar question recently submitted on this blog.
