I’ve seen some pastors on YouTube say that God is fine with homosexuals because He made them that way at birth. Does the Bible teach that?
The Bible — God’s Word (2 Tim. 3:16-17) — teaches the exact opposite, actually. Both the Old Testament (Lev. 18:22; 20:13; cf. Gen. 19:5ff; Judg. 19:22ff) and the New Testament (Rom. 1:26-28; 1 Cor. 6:9-11; 1 Tim. 1:9-10) condemn homosexuality as sinful. Additionally, the New Testament specifically describes homosexuality as that which is “contrary to nature” (Rom. 1:26-27), thus showing that no one is in fact made by God to be a homosexual at birth. (Yet even if it were scientifically and biblically proven that one could be born homosexual, that would not change the fact that homosexuality is still condemned as sinful in Scripture and thus should not be practiced, just as all heterosexual sex outside of marriage between a man and a woman is also condemned as sinful and thus should not be practiced by all those who are born heterosexual.)
